Tyre Fitting

The right tyres at the right price

What we offer

We supply and fit tyres from all major manufacturers — Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Hankook, and a range of quality budget brands. Whatever your vehicle and however you drive, we'll recommend the right tyre at a price that works for you.

Same-day fitting is available on most popular sizes. If we need to order your size, it's usually with us the next working day.

Honest advice

We check tread depth, pressure, condition and age across all four tyres. We'll only recommend replacement when it's genuinely needed — no upselling. If a tyre has plenty of life left, we'll tell you.

We also check for uneven wear patterns which can indicate suspension or tracking issues, and let you know if anything else needs attention.

Our Services

Everything tyre-related, under one roof

New tyre supply & fitting

Budget, mid-range and premium tyres for cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles. Fitted while you wait.

Puncture repairs

If the puncture is in the central tread area and the tyre is otherwise sound, we can repair it to British Standard BS AU 159 — saving you the cost of a new tyre.

Tyre balancing

Vibration at speed? Unbalanced tyres cause uneven wear and an uncomfortable ride. We balance every tyre we fit as standard.

Free tyre checks

Pop in any time for a free visual tyre inspection. We check tread depth, pressure, condition and age — no appointment needed.

Run-flat tyres

We supply and fit run-flat tyres for BMW, Mercedes, Mini and other vehicles that use them. Correct load ratings and speed ratings always matched.

Commercial & van tyres

Tyres for Transit Customs, Sprinters, and other light commercial vehicles. Correct load ratings for your vehicle's gross weight.

When to Replace

How do I know when my tyres need replacing?

Tread depth

The legal minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, around the full circumference. Each illegal tyre carries a fine of up to £2,500 and 3 penalty points.

We recommend replacing at 3mm. Braking distances increase significantly below this level, particularly in the wet — the difference between 3mm and 1.6mm can add several car lengths to your stopping distance.

Other warning signs

  • Uneven wear — worn on one edge suggests tracking or suspension issues
  • Bulges or cuts — structural damage means the tyre must be replaced immediately
  • Cracking sidewalls — UV and age degrade the rubber compound over time
  • Vibration at speed — may indicate a balance issue or internal tyre damage
  • Age — even with good tread, tyres degrade. We recommend replacing after 5–6 years regardless of mileage
FAQ

Tyres — your questions answered

How much do new tyres cost?
It depends on the size and brand. We offer budget, mid-range and premium options to suit every wallet. Call us on 01302 866 458 with your tyre size (e.g. 205/55 R16) and we'll give you a quote over the phone.
Can you fit tyres while I wait?
Yes, subject to stock availability. We carry popular sizes and can usually source others for next-day fitting. A single tyre typically takes around 20–30 minutes including balancing.
What's the legal tyre tread depth?
The legal minimum in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, around the full circumference. We recommend replacing at 3mm — braking performance drops significantly below this, especially in wet conditions.
Do you supply run-flat tyres?
Yes. We supply and fit run-flat tyres for BMW, Mercedes, Mini and other vehicles that use them as standard. We always match the correct load and speed rating for your vehicle.
Can you repair a puncture?
Yes, provided the puncture is in the central tread area and the tyre is otherwise in good condition. We follow British Standard BS AU 159 for all puncture repairs. If the damage is in the sidewall or too close to the edge, the tyre must be replaced for safety.
